Study of Bengali literature and its criticism develops and improves the power of synthetic thinking as
it combines both emotion and intellect. No ideal educational institution can run without recognizing
literature. Ideals, values and ideologies are abstract concepts to be practiced in daily life of our society.
Literature gives concrete shapes to these values and ideas.
- This course is based on the History of Literature before 19th century. So, the students can get
the knowledge regarding the Old and Medieval Bengali Literature. - The basis of a literature is a language. In this course students can get an idea regarding the
origin and the development of Bengali Language. - This course is based on The History of Literature from 19th Century. The influence of
Renaissance and Modernism on Bengali Poetry, Novel and Prose is depicted in this course. - This course deals with the Medieval Poetry, Novel, Short-stories and Essays of Modern
Bengali. So, the students can relate between the literary trends of two era. - This course brings the knowledge regarding the Bengali Literature of 20th Century.
